There are over 2,000 registered dogs in Billerica. Where do you go with your dog in Billerica? The Billerica Dog Park Committee wants to establish and maintain a Dog Park in the Town of Billerica for them to run, play, and socialize with other dogs. We support other pet friendly projects as well.
Countdown to Summer 2017 Opening
In the last week of November 2016, We've finalized the contract with The Morin-Cameron Group of Danvers. MCG provides Engineering, Surveying, Environmental and Land Use services and is now developing the formal plans for the Billerica Dog Park.
MCG recently designed and opened the Danvers Dog Park, within Endicott Park, in Danvers. www.friendsofdanversdogpark.com.
Although this contract was signed later than we planned, we are still on target to break ground on the Billerica Dog Park as planned in the Spring as soon as Winter fades away.
Thanks again, Billerica, for your support and patience.
Show Your Billerica Dog Park Pride
on-line store. You can now get totes, hats and shirts. Remember, we still need to ongoing funds to maintain the park after opening since the town will not fund it with town funds, so this is a great way to show everyone you support the park.
You can also reserve your commemorative brick in the new store. These special bricks will be set in a place of honor at the new Dog Park. This may be the last opportunity to reserve a brick for the Dog Park opening as we will likely stop sales in January or February to finalize the brick plans and start engraving your brick.
The Billerica Dog Park will not be built by your tax dollars or town funds. All funds will come from the generous support of the community.
With your help, we can make the park a reality in 2016. The Friends of the Billerica Dog Park Committee is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Donations and contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
